Nutty kid!

I asked Menachem I'd he want nuts, referring to the walnuts on the table. He happily replied "yay! I love donuts!"

Menachem and his lolly pop

Menachem got a lolly pop in shul. He was happily sucking it. He then started to bite it. He was told to stop biting the lolly pop or it would be taken away. He tried sucking it once more, but he wasn't satisfied. Again he tried to bite it but I stopped him. He kept looking at me hoping I wouldn't notice what he was doing. By now I was sitting on the floor next to him. He asked me if I want to go do laundry in the other room, I told him I wanted to play with him. He then asked if I can go give Miri a bath, I said I was still here to play. Eyeing the lolly he tried again, go play with Totty, he was trying his best to get rid of me so he can enjoy the lolly pop on his terms.

Very, very...

Menachem's favorite word lately seems to be "very" or "ve, ve". He is constantly very hungry, very cold, or the water is very, very boiling. It is adorable how he expresses his feelings the last couple of weeks. Today he woke up from his nap and wanted me to take him out if the crib. I waited at least five minutes to do so, or else he is cranky for the rest of the day. I came to get him and he tells me "I am very, very bored" I made him repeat it a couple of time because it was so funny.

Friends

Miri is one funny girl! She is very excited with a girl in her class, her newest friend, Gitty.
Gitty came over to play on shabbos afternoon, all day she was waiting in anticipation for her friends arrival. Miri said "I am sooo into gitty, because she's in my class!"

Miri says "my mommy is my therapist, because she teaches me things, like the alphabet..."
There must be therapists in and out of her classroom all the time

Now that's clarity

Motty wanted to know, "did zeide Mordechai wear hoizin zucken?"
When told no, he responded "oh I know why they must have burned all the bendelach in the war"

Bubbles

Menachem seems to have us all laughing all the time! He loves bubbles. The problem is that January is not the best bubble season. He sees the empty bubble wands, and tumblers and asks us to fill it up with bubbles. When told "not today"
he says "so fill it up with water?"
We tell him "no silly, it needs bubbles!"
He then goes on to ask if we could "peeese put in milk?"
