Totty and me time

This Sunday was special because both Motty and Miri got to spend some alone time with their Totty.
The day started with Miri going for breakfast with Chaim. She LOVES doing breakfast like that.
Motty got to go to prospect park and go biking all the way up that tremendous hill, he did the full three miles, enjoying every minute of the zooming ride down. Our little boy sure is growing, he did the bike route just like Totty!

the funny things that kids say

At the Wallk house renovations are underway, the bedrooms in which we always sleep when we visit is getting redone. Yay! We went to take a peek at the almost completed room when we were there. Miri's favorite part was the window curtains, she was admiring the flowered print when she turned to me and said "Mommy, I love those skirts!"
Motty was giving driving directions as usual since has the roads down pat better than our GPS, we were going to the park to play with his boat and he says "stick to the service roads today don't take the highway." we were "sticking" our seats from laughter.
Menachem was the cutest thing in shul on Rosh Hashana, he was enjoying the attention he got when he made noise so he kept right at it. They were taking a long time to start so he was busy kissing my machzir and blabbing. I covered his mouth once when he was talking, it tickled, so he kept trying to put his mouth into the palm of my hand to do it again. When they finally blew the shofar he was just as loud saying "too too!"

Summer Fun!

The summer flew so fast. I guess time flies when having fun! Boruch Hashem we had a fantastic season this summer. We got to spend lots of quality time together, we even were lucky enough to have an exclusive overnight trip with our first class Zeidy and Bobby Wallk!! That was a trip to remember! Kutztown, PA was really amazing, the fair was lots of fun. The fireworks were spectacular. Motty was sitting on the hood of the car waiting for them to begin but as soon as the first one exploded in the air, he zoomed down faster than a fireman going down the pole, the noise frightened him and menachem. Also he was not so sure that it was not coming down on our heads, he enjoyed them from the car. The next day we rode the Straussburg railroad yet again... The kids had a huge heaping serving of undivided attention from their grandparents and memories that will last and last... We hope to invite them to join us next summer again!!
Each Sunday we tried to do something exciting, we went to the Intrepid (twice, once with the Bornstein's and once with the Paluch's), Whitepost farm's, we visited a firehouse, we went on an ABC trip, Brooklyn Bridge park water lab etc.
The kids really enjoyed their respective slumber parties, thank you Chaim and Chummy for hosting the boys!
Motty really loves his painting birthday party, thanks to Ari R., Motty R., and Yanky T. for coming. His highlight was his really cool remote control warship, that we took to prospect park, to the pond to play with. It really goes far and fast, it lights up and all.
We took our family vacation to Philadelphia this summer. Boy was that fun. We visited an old penitentiary, that was very interesting to Motty. The next day was loads of fun at the Aquarium in Camden, NJ. We then had a BBQ on Lemon Hill. And wrapped up our fun day with night swimming!! We went to the Franklin Institute on Tuesday it was a fascinating place the kids loved the seeing their totty on the sky bike, walking through the heart and seeing the wall light up when lots of cellphone are in use next to it...
Menachem was glad to be back home and roam free!!!
