little munchkins

Menachem is all smiles all day now. He is fun to hold 'cuz he keeps trying to catch your eye and "talk" to you. I'm not sure who likes the mobile in his crib better, Menachem or Motty and Miri since they use a remote to turn it on and off. They also love adjusting the volume... Menachem must be thinking these kids are really big pests!
On erev Shabbos Chaim bought some beer. He was telling me that he left his beer in the car, a confused Miri looked at him like he was losing it "uh uh it's on your face!"
When it was time to get dressed she wanted to wear her new shabbos shoes that she seems to think are her high heels...I wish I knew where she came from she is such a clown!
Motty is preparing for Hoshanah Raabah, taking the baby's blankets and swatting the floor. good thing he isn't building an indoor sukah and expecting us to sit in it.

School days

School is in full swing B"H! Miri is sooo happy at school she talks about her friends and Morahs all day. She came home the first day knowing one girl's name and she decided it's her best friend cuz she remembered her name! On Friday in the weekly newsletter there was a page with a picture of each child and their names under them. By the time shabbos was over she had a new best friend, she chose another girl who's name was familiar by then! (she made us read her the list of names and show her who they were at least a dozen times!) Miri also has a play makeup set that is now officially part of her morning routine she needs five minute to apply her "makeup" another thing she likes is choosing a hairstyle for the day, her favorite one is; two challos in her hair (that would be braids in English).
MOtty is now learning the Nikudos. He walks around all the time now requesting things in the following manner; "Pasach mem, do you know where my Kumatz Shin is?" it can get pretty hilarious sometimes when he gets carried away.
We had a couple of errands to do one afternoon the last stop was supposed to be Dagan pizza shop, or as Motty thinks it's called "Balagan pizza shop". That did not sit well with Mordechai, if he had his way he would have gone to eat first and then done the other things if he was still in the mood. He decided on the way that he is STARVING and must eat now!! I explained that we had to pass a couple of places on the way and they were quick stops and then we would get his pizza. Then he dropped a line that had me laughing so hard. "Food is my gas, and I am running low on fuel!" You gotta love him!!

NEW SCHOOL YEAR

"We sure love our adorable baby Menachem!" Just ask the official face pockers, waker uppers and any other made up words for gentle torturing that this poor child's got to endure at the hands of his loving sibs. They are not waking him up just checking if he is in the mood of smiling to them and he "magically" is awake! Boruch Hashem he is very loved by his brother and sister. He is at this yummy stage where you can just hold 'em for hours.
Motty started learning by an aleph beis rebbe this year!!! He is HUGE! On Thursday he was thrilled to learn that his rebbe was going to give each child his very own sefer the next day. We asked if he knew which sefer it will be... he wasn't sure but maybe a P'nei Menachem.
Miri is starting school this week we can't wait to let you know how it is... she is thrilled to start, she walks around for a good part of the day with her backpack on and shows it to anyone who comes for a visit. SHE IS SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

We are back

Hi there we are back by popular demand!! We sincerely apologize the the huge gap between the last post and this one!!!
So much has happened in the past couple of months that it's difficult to catch up...but we'll try.
Our playgroup for Miri has come and gone, it was a great success she had a fantastic year boruch hashem. She went to a real playgroup this summer, Morah Chaya's playgroup. Miri had a ball there, she couldn't wait to go to a real school on a real school bus... Her morah there has an english accent and Miri loved to repeat things she heard her say for example miri's favorite thing for lunch was "mashed POTATOES" all in all she loved camp this year Boruch hashem.
Motty enjoyed day camp as well. He is very into roads and highways. His morah told me that on a class trip and the whole way there and back he couldn’t stop giving directions and predicting the next bridge, tunnel or exit they would be
taking next.
